Saturday Morning

How we found John and Aeryn in the morning. "Thank you for not smoking", indeed...

It's not obvious from the photo, but Aeryn found DRD-Andrew's cell phone charger defying gravity...

The Scaper Musical - "Froonium"

One of the most anticipated parts of ScaperCon was the musical. Part of what had sold the crew was watching a tape of last year's musical, "Okla-Moya", a parody of Oklahoma. This year, the musical was "Froonium", a parody of "Grease"!

We're happy to report that the musical didn't disappoint. The parody was clever, the acting and singing were relatively competent for a group of non-actors/singers, and the costumes were fantastic! All in all, worth seeing.

The only negative was that some of the actors seemed to occasionally forget that they were not miked, and they made the common error of facing each other instead of projecting towards the audience. As a result, we didn't always hear the lines. Again, this is a common error that a lot of people make when they're not used to being on stage. A small flaw to an otherwise quite entertaining performance.

Cast photos after the musical. What great costumes!

The McDonald's Museum, Part Two

With the McDonald's Museum having limited hours of operation, the crew decided to miss one of the Saturday Q&A sessions (David and Rebecca) to dash back to the McDonald's Museum and see the parts they were forced to miss the previous day...

Aeryn tried to order using an ancient order form... ... then flirted with an employee.
