Page 3: Thursday - The Hotel And The Bar

The Hotel

While we've heard that some people had complaints about the Radisson O'Hare, we had few problems with it. When compared to some of the hotels we've stayed at for various conventions over the years, the Radisson was relatively clean and comfortable, with fairly efficient staff.

The one problem with the hotel that we did have was the noise. Being located right next to the interstate and across from one of the world's busiest airports, the noise from both kept some of the crew up most of the night. It's surprising that an airport hotel - and one that seemed relatively modern - was so poorly noise-insulated.

John looks at the interstate, and wonders where all these people were going...

After checking in at the hotel, Chiana and Harvey decided to spend the night at the bar.

Chiana seemed right at home in the bar.

And she clearly loved the popcorn!

She and Harvey shared a few chocolate martinis.

Eventually, a rather strange conga line broke out.

The mood got romantic, as Harvey and Chiana got closer...

And somehow, popcorn got involved...

Now, we're not entirely sure what happened next, but the mood changed, and Chiana was clearly not happy!

And she took her anger out on Harvey!

More drinks arrived. DRD-Kim found that the bar made the world's worst grasshopper. ("Uh... Why doesn't the straw move?")

DRD-Kim may not have enjoyed the ultra-thick grasshopper, but once Chiana and Harvey made up, they found the drink quite enjoyable.

DRD-Kate (shown here with Amy from the FarscapeCanada list) finally arrived at about midnight. Surprisingly, her ride to Chicago took even longer than ours did!

On returning to the room, Chiana and Aeryn tried to understand "air conditioning".
